Its that time of the week again, time to link up with Katy and Jenna for their lovely Happy Days Linky.
I look forward to writing this post every week and I find that it is a great way to help me document our time together.
Out and About
This week I have been pretty poorly with a chest infection, so that combined with all the rain we have had has meant we haven't been out and about much at all.
We did go up to Nana and Grandads on Wednesday, partly so I could sneak in a rest and partly because you love being there. You love them so much and enjoy all the attention and play time you are lavished with when we are there. Such a joy seeing you all together.
We have also popped out for a couple of walks. Going for little walks are now one of my favourite things to do with you.
You take such pride in being able to name so many of the things we pass and are so keen and excited to make new discoveries and learn new words. I get so much pleasure in seeing your little mind at work, so eager for knowledge and adventure. You amaze me every day.
Fun at Home
I have been so inspired by some of the other posts on this linky to do more craft/messy play activities with you and have some really great things planned. The only slight problem we have is that our craft supplies are running seriously low and we are in desperate need of a restocking shopping trip.
So we have been making do with what we have been able to find around the house. This mainly consisted of cardboard, straws and a cardboard box. Not the greatest selection but we did the best with what we had.
We used the straws and cardboard to make a lion mask and some flowers.

I decided that we would attempt to make something fun for you out of the box and gave you the choice of plane, house or car and your choice was car so that is what we attempted to make.
You loved sticking all the pieces on.
When we were done you were so pleased with it and couldn't wait to take it for an imaginary spin. You have been playing with it all week and have been sitting in it and watching your favourite shows.
Time for Me
I had been doing pretty good at this one but some weeks its just easier said then done and for one reason or another its just not really happened this week. Anytime I have had to myself I have spent feeling crappy and sorry for myself. I have however decided to make better use of your naps and try and take half an hour to myself each day, (we will see how that goes) I did manage to take a bit of time out to write my first ever guest post about our bedtime routine.
Happiest Moment
Technically this was last week but my happiest moment was last Saturday night. I love all the time I get to spend with you but every now and then it is so nice for Daddy and I to take some time and go out together and last Saturday night that is exactly what we did. We dropped you off for a sleepover at Nana and then came home to get ready. I had forgotten how nice it feels to actually take time getting ready and dress up. We went out for a nice dinner and were really able to take that time to regroup and enjoy each others company. And that was it, as simple at that. My happiest moment was having uninterrupted quality time with Daddy. Perfect.
Next Week
We have no plans or appointments at all next week, a completely free week. so who know what we will get up to, watch this space I guess.
I love you Pops,
Mamma x
