Dear Pops,
I have seen a few other bloggers writing some wonderful post's about their Christmas traditions. I absolutely adore Christmas traditions and have such fond memories of the traditions Nana and Grandad created for me as a child, so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon.
Here is a list of our traditions, hopefully by the time you read this you will adore everyone of these and have fond memories of them all....
We put the decorations up on the 1st of December. We eat party style food and listen to Christmas music as we do it
We each have a special decoration to hang on the tree each year.
Daddy always puts the star on top of the Christmas tree (mainly because he is the only one that can reach!)
We write a letter to Father Christmas each year and put it in a special envelope on the tree for the elves to collect and then the next morning we see if Father Christmas has replied.
We make a gingerbread house.
We donate a few new items of clothing or toiletries to the local homeless project.
We drive round to look at Christmas lights.
We go to meet Father Christmas.
We donate a box of food to the local Food Bank.
We leave out treats for Father Christmas on Christmas eve.
We have a special Christmas breakfast.
We send a toy to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
We make and hang paper snowflakes.

I hope you enjoy our traditions Pops. I hope you have fond memories of them as you grow up. But most importantly I hope that we have made Christmas magical for you while still teaching you that Christmas is a time to think of others and how you can help.
I Love you Pops and hope you have the most magical Christmas,
Mamma xxx
